WHAT THE WHAT IS PRECONCEPTION?
Let’s get back to the basics real quick. Preconception care is all about the health and wellbeing of reproductive-aged women and men before or between pregnancies. Not only does it impact fertility, but also maternal + neonatal outcomes, and the health of future generations via epigenetics (wild, right?)
Preconception care is the MVP for things like:
Improving sperm, semen, and testosterone (a HUGE factor that impacts fertility, miscarriage, and birth malformations),
Improving egg quality (a critical role that most fertility advice misses).
Intervening on health risks that benefit men and women regardless of their desire to conceive,
Debunking the traditional belief that by the time a woman is 40, her eggs have irreversible chromosomal abnormalities. (More on that here.)
CONCĒV was, ahem, born out of our desire to change—and in many circles start—the conversation around proactive fertility.

As a nutrition and lifestyle medicine consultancy, we focus on all of the factors that influence fertility: physical activity, chronic diseases, mitochondrial function (the power plants inside every cell), diet, medications, oral health, family genetic history, environmental exposures, gut microbiome, pH balance, weight management to name a few.
Our incredible team is trained in functional medicine principles and take an evidence-based, holistic, patient-centered approach that would clap back if it were ever called ‘one size fits all.’ Quite the opposite, we consider each person’s biochemistry, physiology, environment, and genetics to create a proactive, energizing, plan that will be the wind to their goals’ sails—whether that entails conceiving now or some day in the future.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Dr. Tina Krupczak—whom we affectionately refer to as FertiliTina (just kidding, she said an emphatic no to that terrible nickname)—is a board-certified, licensed dietitian-nutritionist with a Masters in Nutrition & Integrative Health and a Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition. And if that wasn’t enough, she is also a child birth educator and doula! In her private practice she has helped countless individuals achieve their unique health goals. Inspired by her clients’ fertility success and desiring to share these effective strategies, Tina decided to conceive Concēv – a practice dedicated to proactive and holistic preconception planning that centers around the time before you’re officially “trying,” with a focus on changing men and women’s lifestyle and nutrition habits to optimize both of their reproductive health. Don’t get her started on any of the following: how overlooked men’s reproductive health is, how people prefer trends to science, or the short-sighted obsession with a woman’s D.O.B.
